Catching minnows at Blue Gate

This evening we drove just a few minutes outside of Kane on Rt.321 to a popular fishing spot which is called Blue Gate. You can access Blue Gate off of 321 from the gravel lot next to it. We simply walked down the gravel path and went through the weeds to the creek to place our minnow trap. As we waited to see if we caught minnows our kids played in the creek. Within an hour we had caught several minnows and pulled our minnow trap up from the bridge. Free, fun, easy evening as a family. Worthwhile spot to check out! We plan to go back to actually fish soon.
