Traveling to WV to adopt a miniature highland cow…
Earlier this winter my husband Kyle said yes to finally getting a miniature Highland Cow
After a lot of research we found a trustworthy breeder Stony Spring Farm and loaded up our kids in the car and headed to Berkely Springs, WV to meet the cows and breeder. After a lot of anticipation we finally met the mini cows and although they were ADORABLE we soon realized they were still too big for us to have on our homestead. We simply did not feel comfortable having a cow with horns that wide and big near our kids..even though they are usually super friendly animals.
So…no mini highland cow for us but instead we created an amazing family memory with our kids and my mom who joined us for the experience. Lesson learned- DO your research on animals and it is always good to meet animal in person before buying !
