Re-branding our homemade goat milk soaps
After giving it a lot of thought we have decided to rename all of our soaps after local places, trails, or campsites within the PA Wilds. We feel like this decision totally fits with our brand and will appeal to those that shop our products online and at our farm stand. A few of the names we have already come up with are : Highland Honey, Pine Creek Chai, Benezette Bonfire, Clearfield Cocoa Butter, East Branch Espresso, Montmorenci Maple, Appalachia Apple, Potter Pumpkin Spice, Boot Jack Bourban, Bendigo Birch, Ridgway Raspberry, Wildcat Wildflower, Minister Creek Marshmallow, Branch Damn Banana….these are just a few.
Now that we have names for the soaps we have to get to making the soap! Did you know that it takes 3-4 weeks for our homemade goat milk soaps to cure?! That is why it takes so long. All of the soaps that we make are made with either Annabelle or Dolly’s milk, olive oil, coconut oil, lard and lye. We usually add scents and either mica or clay for color. You will be able to shop all of our soaps this summer from our farm stand and online!
