Learning about Grant Opportunities through the Elk County Conservation District

My husband and I attended our first grant education dinner hosted by the Elk County Conservation District. The goal of this dinner was to educate local farmers about grant opportunities in our county. Grants could help with a large variety of things such as access roads, grassed waterways, spring development, trails and walkways, fences, waste storage facilities and so much more. It was such a great learning opportunity for my husband and I . The next step for us with this program is to have a farm visit completed so that they can identify our needs and recommend what we may apply for with the grant.
