Opening my own “Coop Shop”
This week I officially opened my very own " Coop Shop". What is a coop shop?
It is literally our old chicken coop which I renovated to become my shop. I moved the coop down by the road so that it is easily accessible and away from our house. I painted the inside, redid the flooring, added decor and then stocked it with my products. I have two main goals with my little coop shop. The first goal is to have a place that locals can pick up orders that they make on my website for free. I have a pick up area within the coop. The second goal is to make shopping my products even more accessible for shoppers. My coop is open 7am-7pm Monday through Sunday. It is an easy place to stop before or after work for a last minute dough bowl candle as a gift, homemade goat milk soap or for a simmer bag. I am using the honor system for payment and I also offer paypal or venmo with my easy door scan checkout.
What am I selling in my "Coop Shop"? Since my shop is down the road from my house I can easily stock it with new weekly products. Each week I plan to guarantee that dough bowl candles, goat milk soap and simmer bags will be inside. I will also be adding unique gifts within the store such as handmade ornaments, one-of-a-kind door signs, floral arrangements from our garden and so much more. I will be selling eggs whenever our girls start laying consistently again.
If I buy an item on your website where in the coop will it be to pick up? I have a shelf inside of the coop labeled pick up. This is where your item will be. I also have a drop off area labeled for empty candles that need to be refilled. Eggs are located in laying boxes on the side of the coop. Follow instructions for keeping farm fresh eggs.
How can you shop my coop? Stop and shop my coop anytime between 7am-7pm on Monday through Sundays. The coop is easily to drive up to or even ride your bike or walk to since we are located parallel to the TAMED trail It is located at 5561 Highland Rd. Kane, PA 16735. It is a red coop. Park across the road from the coop or at bottom of driveway. Do not pull all the way up the driveway near house and please realize that we do have a security system.
Thank you for the continued support for my homestead and small business. I am working hard to expand my little nest and to sell my products in the most convenient way possible and in multiple locations.
